As some of you know, I am a walker. I will put on my headphones, turn on the music, and take off for destinations unknown. There are times I might walk for 5 to 6 hours in a day. It is during those times that I like to reflect and think. I have come to depend upon my walks to help me unwind and think introspectively.

Hello to my fellow blogolites.

I must make an admission right from the start.  This blog is going to be long and have a lot of pictures.  There is no other way I could do this blog today because it was a truly spectacular and moving morning in Rome.

The sixth word is from John 19:30: It is finished.

The seventh word is from Luke 23:46: Father, into your hands I commend my spirit.

Again, Jesus is talking directly to His Father. His use of the word “Father” is reminiscent of my reflection on the first word, so if you forgot what I said, just reread the first word.

The second word is from Luke 23:43: Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise.

Father Hannon passed away 10 days ago, and we're really missing him here at CatholicTV. He has been celebrating Mass with us for over 30 years and has brightened our lives for all that time. His funeral was celebrated on Friday across the street at St Patrick's in Watertown.
