WATERTOWN, MASS. (November 12, 2015) – Starting November 29th CatholicTV will begin airing special programming for the season of Advent. Beginning December 13th CatholicTV will also air daily Christmas programming at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Listed below are some of the highlights for the seasons:
Feast of Saint Nicholas: On December 6th, CatholicTV will feature special programming in honor of the feast of St. Nicholas. In the beginning of the day, tune-in to “Saint to Santa”, a children’s program that tells the story of how St. Nicholas became Santa Claus. Also airing throughout the day are “Saint Series: St. Nicholas” as well as “Santa’s Priority”, a Christmas special about keeping Christ in Christmas from our friends at Catholics Come Home.
Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe: In honor of the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe on December 12th, watch “Guadalupe: The Miracle and the Message”, a documentary from the Knights of Columbus. The film features interviews with theologians, historians and experts on the apparition of Our Lady of Guadalupe in the 16th century. Christmas programming:Among the great Christmas programs featured throughout the month of December, CatholicTV will air “Why We Worship”, in which Father Greg Usselmann unpacks the untold wealth of meaning within the seasons of Advent and Christmas. CatholicTV will also air “Journey to Christmas”, a program that follows
pilgrims experiencing the Holy Land for the first time and discovering the true meaning of Christmas.
During December 24th -26th, CatholicTV will host a holiday marathon that will showcase various Christmas specials and Masses from Notre Dame, Boston, Washington D.C., and Vatican City.
