WATERTOWN, MASS. (June 21, 2016) – Winners of the 37th Annual Telly Awards have been announced, and CatholicTV has been recognized with both judged and People’s Telly awards.
The Telly Awards is the premier award for excellent local, regional, and cable TV commercials, programs, and video/film productions, as well as web commercials, videos and films. CatholicTV is thrilled and grateful to have been awarded a Bronze Telly and Bronze People’s Telly for one of their newest series: The Lens, which tackles world issues in a light-hearted format with a faith based lens. The Lens was also nominated for a New England Emmy this year.
“The Lens is a unique show that is allowed to take risks both in format and outreach, and I am grateful to my collaborators and the leadership at CatholicTV for allowing us to pioneer a new form of religious media for millennials and faith seekers,” said Matt Weber, host of The Lens. “It is a joy to work on this show with the most talented and dedicated people on both sides of the camera!”
Founded in 1979, the Telly Awards is one of the most sought-after awards by local and international firms. Winners represent the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators, and corporate video departments in the world.
