January 28, 2015 Watertown, Mass. – During the week of February 10, Catholic TV’s talk show, “This Is The Day” will welcome Sam Stanton as a guest to discuss the outstanding efforts of the Catholic organization, Maryknoll Lay Missioners.

Maryknoll Lay Missioners are a group of Catholics who devote their time to helping poor communities in Africa, Asia and Latin America. The organization was initiated in 1975 and focuses on tending to the sick, feeding the poor and providing support for those in need. Since the first lay mission was launched, Maryknoll Lay Missioners have sent over 700 U.S. lay Catholics to countries all over the world.

Stanton has been a member of Maryknoll Lay Missioners since 1985. His service with the organization extends from Phoenix, Ariz. to communities in Chile. While working with the organization, Stanton has worked on development projects and has had an extensive hand in the process of plebiscite, a vote that lead to the return of democracy in Chile. This episode of “This Is The Day” will air Tuesday February 10 at 10:30 AM EST and 7:30 PM. The show will then re-air on Wed. at 4:30 AM and 5:30 PM as well as Thurs. at 12 AM.
