WATERTOWN, MASS. (October 4, 2016) – On Tuesday, October 11 at 11am ET, Father John Hatcher, President of the St. Francis Mission, will appear as a guest on the CatholicTV Network’s The Gist.

The Gist, hosted by Danielle Bean, Rachel Balducci, and Carolee McGrath, is CatholicTV’s show for Catholic women. Each episode focuses on a topic that is relevant to Catholic women and features interviews with special guests.

This week’s episode with Father Hatcher takes a look at education. Father Hatcher describes the unique approach to education that Jesuits use at the St. Francis Mission, which aims to foster respect and love for both Native and Catholic traditions. The Mission, founded in 1886, seeks “to re-evangelize Catholic Lakota people and bring the Gospel of Jesus the Christ to those who have not heard it,” with a strong focus on education to reach this goal.
