WATERTOWN, MASS. (March 3, 2016) – Starting on March 20th CatholicTV will be airing special programming to commemorate Holy Week. This programming will include special Masses and services from the Vatican as well as The Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Notre Dame, IN  and the Archdiocese of Boston. Please note that all times are in EST.

On Palm Sunday, March 20th CatholicTV will host a LIVE Vatican Mass at 4:30 a.m. and rebroadcast at 11 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.  Santa Misa (Spanish Mass) will air at 8:00 a.m., 5:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. CatholicTV will then feature the Notre Dame Mass at 10 a.m.  as well as Mass from San Antonio at 4:00 p.m. Lastly CatholicTV’s President, Father Robert Reed will be presiding at the Palm Sunday Mass at 7 p.m. from the studios of CW56 in Boston.

On Tuesday of Holy Week, the daily mass will be celebrated at the CatholicTV studios in the Chapel of Holy Cross.  The Chrism Mass presided over by Cardinal Seán O’Malley, the Archbishop of Boston will air on CatholicTV LIVE at 11 a.m.  and rebroadcast at 8 p.m.

Tune in for Easter triduum, the three day period of liturgical observance starting on Holy Thursday for the LIVE Chrism Mass from the Vatican at 11:00 a.m. and the rebroadcast at 8 p.m. as well as the Holy Mass of the Lord’s Last Supper from the Vatican LIVE at 12 p.m. and rebroadcast 10 p.m. That evening, join Cardinal Seán O’Malley O.F.M. Cap. for the Solemn Mass of the Lord’s Supper from the Cathedral of Holy Cross in Boston LIVE at 7:30 p.m.

On Good Friday, watch the Celebration of the Lord’s Passion LIVE from the Vatican at 12 p.m.  and rebroadcast at 5 p.m. Do not forget to tune in to the Solemn Liturgy of the Lord’s Passion with Cardinal Seán O’Malley from the Cathedral of Holy Cross in Boston LIVE at 3 p.m. and 10 p.m., as well as The Way of the Cross from the Vatican at 8 p.m. with a rebroadcast time at midnight on March 26th.

On Holy Saturday, Easter Vigil from the Vatican will air LIVE at 3:30 p.m. and rebroadcast at 11:00 p.m. CatholicTV will air the LIVE Easter Vigil from the Cathedral of Holy Cross in Boston with Cardinal Sean O’Malley at 8 p.m.

In addition to Holy Week, CatholicTV will also air special Easter Sunday programming. The Mass will be celebrated LIVE from the Vatican at 4:00 p.m. and rebroadcast at 12:00 p.m. and 8 p.m. The “Urbi et Orbi” Easter Blessing will air LIVE at 6 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 7:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. CatholicTV’s weekly Santa Misa will be celebrated at 8 a.m. and will re-broadcast at 5:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. This will be followed by the Notre Dame Mass at 10:00 a.m. and a bilingual Mass from the San Fernando Cathedral in San Antonio  at 4 p.m. The day will wrap up with an Easter Mass from the CW56 studios at 7 p.m. with CatholicTV’s President, Father Reed.
