The 24 Hours for the Lord is a worldwide initiative where churches keep their doors open for 24 hours for the Sacrament of Reconcilliation and adoration. According to an article from the Archdiocese of Detroit, Pope Francis requests “‘this moment be linked, first and foremost, to the Sacrament of Reconciliation… So many people’, he wrote, ‘including young people, are returning to the sacrament of reconciliation; through this experience they are rediscovering a path back to the Lord, living a moment of intense prayer and finding meaning in their lives.’”
