The CatholicTV Network to Air LIVE Coverage of the 2014 Knights of Columbus Supreme Convention

WATERTOWN, MA (July 31, 2014)  President of the CatholicTV Network, Fr. Robert Reed, will provide on-air commentary during the Knights of Columbus 132nd Supreme Convention in Orlando, Florida.  Senior Producer  Kevin Nelson, and Knights of Columbus Museum Education, Outreach and Visitor Services Manager, Peter Sonski will join Fr. Reed at the news desk. Live coverage begins at 9:25 am (ET) on Tuesday August 5th.  Celebration of Masses on both Wednesday and Thursday will also air on CatholicTV.

The CatholicTV Network Announces Programming Celebrating the Celestine Year

Watertown, July 29, 2014.- In celebration of the Jubilee Year of Pope Saint Celestine V, CatholicTV  is pleased to announce programming and features to honor the work and ministry of Pope Saint Celestine.

 While Celestine served as Pope for only five months, his papacy established the ruling that a pope could resign; Celestine was the first Pope to resign and Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI was the second.

Author Dean C. Marion will be the featured guest on CatholicTV’s talk show on Tuesday’s “This is the Day”. Dean is the author of a book of poetry based on his life with Down syndrome, the poems are candid accounts of the challenges and delights that he faces. Jay Fadden, Executive Vice President of CatholicTV and Kate Andrews, Associate Producer will interview Dean and his Dad, Fred about the inspiring poems that Dean has written.

The CatholicTV Network Launches on Opelika Power Services

Watertown, MA  (July 7, 2014) – The CatholicTV Network has launched on channel 161 on Opelika Power Services in Opelika (AL).

The Catholic Network offers a robust program schedule including original programs and programming from Catholic (arch)dioceses throughout the US and from national and international ministries and production companies. Papal programming from the Vatican is aired live with several re-broadcasts.

Established as a television apostolate in the Archdiocese of Boston in 1955 CatholicTV is the first Catholic television station in the world.

 The Telly Awards is the premier award honoring the finest film and video productions, groundbreaking web commercials, videos and films, and outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs. The 35th Annual Telly Awards received over 12,000 entries from all 50 states and numerous countries.
